Tung Siew Hoong is a senior member of the fixed income department in the GIC. He has been responsible for the Emerging Markets team since 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Tung spent three years as a Portfolio Manager in the European fixed income team.

Mr. Tung joined the GIC in 1990 as a Senior Economist, coordinating the asset allocation process for the firm. His responsibilities included making investment recommendations on strategic asset allocation.

Mr. Tung graduated with a Master of Social Science degree in Statistics and Economics from the National University of Singapore in 1990.

Mr. Tung was elected to EMTA’s board in February 2001.
