The event will feature a new report presentation entitled "Mexico: A safe vessel or a risky wreck in turbulent waters?" by Claudio Loser, Senior Fellow, Inter-American Dialogue; President, Centennial Group Latin America; Former IMF Western Hemisphere Director (1994 – 2002).

The report will offer an overview of Mexico’s current economic conditions, with a specific emphasis of Mexican corporates facing refinancing difficulties, and will quantify the Mexican financial system’s recent and projected losses.  The report will raise the issue of the credit ratings agencies’ role to price in the current economic difficulties that Mexican corporates and the sovereign are facing.
